Today I'd like to write a little bit about our Tarot and Oracle cards. Both types of cards are increasingly popular among spiritual beings and mystics who enjoy seeking guidance and wisdom from the spirit realm.
The Difference between Tarot and Oracle
Tarot cards traditionally include 78 cards in each deck, each card has a very specific, in-depth meaning. Oracle cards, on the other hand, often have less cards- usually 44- and they have much broader meanings and interpretations.
When to use Tarot?
You can use Tarot Cards anytime to ask specific questions about love, career, family, home, etc. Alternatively, you can ask for a general reading. I often choose a general reading, I'll pull out 9 cards and let my spirit guides show me the messages that they deem most important.
Before Using Tarot
I was raised by an exceptionally gifted Tarot reader, my mother, who taught me to always call upon the four Archangels - Michael, Uriel, Gabriel and Raphael before using the tarot cards. I ask these Archangels along with my personal spirit guides to step in and guide me with their protection, wisdom, knowledge and love.
Major and Minor Arcana
Tarot cards are comprised of two types of cards - 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana. Major Arcana cards often represent BIG life events that you may have little control over. Minor Arcana cards represent smaller life events that we may be able to altar ourselves.
Choosing the Right Tarot Deck
Every single deck of Tarot cards has its own individual personality, just like people. Each deck has varying artwork and symbolism, meaning you may find yourself more drawn to certain decks than others. It is important to listen to your intuition, if you are particularly drawn to a certain Tarot deck then I encourage you to choose and work with that deck.
